The US government has issued a guide entitled “How to Identify Misinformation” where they rubbish conspiracy websites and urban legends (or any other shoddy reporting). Strangely enough, no mention of going to war and killing thousands of civilians in a foreign land over a misinformed premise of having weapons of mass destruction. Their links to these misinformation sites make very entertaining reading though. My propaganda good, your propaganda bad.
