Hurricane Rita Approaches

As Hurricane Rita approaches the gulf of Mexico I can’t help but remember a set of predictions I heard a few years ago from a spiritualist. That the world would be beset by a new enemy within our midst and man would view man with suspicion, that then America would be tested and brought to its knees by natural phenomena - namely the environment. Sadly the prediction concluded with war but seemingly mankind survives and England is saved by praying women! There were other details that I have omitted but it seems to have been very accurate so far.

How many storms will it take exactly before the worlds largest consumer (per capita) realise that they have to do something about their lifestyle?

Sunday 25th September…

After all the excitement over the approach of hurricane Rita and its feared impact on American oil production it turned out to be a bit of a damp squib as it dropped to a category three storm. Already oil prices are easing off their recent peak and details on the storm have dropped off news site headlines swiftly. Lets hope for a peaceful and uneventful winter and hopefully lower fuel prices, at least for a while, I think everyone has had quite enough of big news (terrorism and storms) for now.
