Moon and Paella
Whenever Helena plans one of her seafood paella nights we have little problem finding guests, the merest mention of the dish and our friends don’t respond with “let me check my diary” but with “when?”. It takes quite a while to prepare so she always makes extra so the two of us can have some more the next day but unfortunately second helpings are too popular and what appeared to be enough to feed an entire Valencian Monastery was entirely scoffed by a mere eight diners. She’ll just have to make even more next time I suppose.
I made a mental note a while ago that the evening would coincide with a full lunar eclipse but decided not to make too much of it as given the typical British climate it was unlikely that the sky would be clear enough for observing astronomical events, however as luck would have it there was a break in the weather which allowed us to view the eclipse with perfect clarity from our ideally positioned balcony.
Sometimes its hard to tell which is broken, my weather widget or the British climate.
Which was the perfect ending to our little dinner party.

I think I put on 2 stone since the Paella evening. The seafood was really fresh and I think that adding lemon to the dish is a master stroke.
What can I say Chris?
Mission accomplished.
A beautiful wife, a paella, appreciative guests and an eclipse. You must be a happy man !
Its been a long walk to get to this place but indeed I count my blessings, thank you Sophia.
