St George Slaying The Dragon
There seems to be more need for us now to remember our national identity than ever. God bless England, happy St. George’s Day.

Why, in these environmentally obsessed times, does nobody think of that poor little dragon? What a bastard stabbing that poor little dragon, he should be prosecuted.

@xoggoth haha, yeah, I seem to recall that, just prior to St. George slaying the dragon, CCTV picked him up buying batteries and fidgeting with a rucksack….

Of course the dragon is entirely figurative and can represent anything that is a regressive or destructive force in our lives. For Edo its repressive intrusion and surveillance by the state justified by the exaggerated threat of violence from racist yet largely ineffectual immigrants. To early Christianity it represented the attitudes of the old pagan religions that refused to bow to the new God and accept his traditions. I’m not sure what it is to Xoggoth but it seems to be something he doesn’t want to see killed.

Alas, it seems to be going the way of Easter, this celebration.
