So that I don’t get behind in the upgrade cycle I have upgraded my Wordpress (blogging) software. A slightly fiddly but painless process so my thanks to the Wordpress development team for another superior web authoring tool. Its the best.

Thanks to my lovely wife I am one of the first owners of a Ricoh Caplio R3 in the UK so I thought I’d write a brief review to assist others who are considering this digital camera.
When considering a new compact digital I thought about what shortcomings have in the past meant that I have [...]

I have finally decided that its time to sign up to flickr for the online storage and presentation of my digital photos. It seemed the only logical conclusion when faced with the fact that it was nearly 800 digital images since I last posted any photos on my site. The main considerations were :
1) Uploading [...]

Much to my dismay this Sunday morning my wireless ADSL router from 3Com (3CRWE754G72-A) died. That’s right, no lights, no action, just a beige plastic paperweight. Not the most poignant of moments in a man’s life you may be thinking but I am irritated as I have only had the unit for fifteen months and [...]

Soon after getting back from Spain I booted up my PC, turned on my ADSL router and went about downloading the emails that had arrived in my absence followed by a bit of web-surfing to catch up on events. The MSBlast worm is all over the web, a friend of mine in the US contacted me yesterday to say that she has been infected and her computer has been rendered useless by it, when she called her ISP for advice she was told that 85% of their customers had reported infections. Fortunately only the [...]

One of my colleagues has just bought the new Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone. Its as compact as the T68i but has a large high-resolution screen, built-in camera and a faster processor and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one. This is the “next generation” phone that I’ve been waiting for and I’m [...]

I was talking with a colleague today who is having some problems setting up email and MMS services on his phone. He has the same model as I do (Sony-Ericsson T68i) and wanted to know how I had fared. I have set-up GPRS and email access with success but I will admit that it was [...]
